Kiwi Adams's Image

Thanks for stopping by. We did it! All three of us completed 106 miles in beautiful Whitefish, Montana on August 25th. The Velo Vixens took part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes. Carol Fern and fellow Type 1, Elizabeth Givens along with Ted Lo from the Herman Miller team joined me as part of the Los Angeles JDRF Chapter. We rode along with hundreds of other Riders across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $3.2 million.

Though I had enough of Death Valley after participating in the event 3 years in a row, the goal is still the same. Type 1 Diabetes is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, with a large and growing percentage of them children and with your help, I truly believe a cure can be found. After just passing my 24th anniversary of living with diabetes, the cure can't come soon enough.

Now more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!

If you get to this page and I have reached my minimum of $4,000, I encourage you to donate to Carol Fern, my other teammate to help her minimum.

Thank you for your generosity.
