Vickie & Lori's 100 mile ride to cure diabetes...THE ROAD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME...
This year, we will be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes in Sonoma, CA, along with hundreds of other riders from across the country, as we help to reach JDRF's goal of raising $4.5 million.
Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people - a large and growing percentage of them children.
Diabetes has had a terrible impact on two of our close family friends. We will be riding in honor of Rick Scheurer & Jasmine Amerasekera. Rick, who was diagnosed at age 15, has had to manage high school & college life as a diabetic. Jasmine, diagnosed at the age of 2, is now 13 & has never known life without diabetes.
There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!
Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF on our behalf as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
