Hi Paul!
Better late than never! I just found the sticky note to myself reminding me to donate to this very important cause. I wish Marc and your entire family success for the future and continue to hope for medical advancements and a cure for Juvenile Diabetes.
Fondly,

Good luck! My mom has had Type 1 since she was 14...that's 52 years! Marc is very lucky to have the insulin pump and the glucose meter. Those tools along with healthy eating and excercise will keep him in check until there is a cure. And there WILL be one in his lifetime...so keep up the good fight until then! I know it's no fun to be diabetic, but the future is very bright. Have a great ride. |

Steve, My husband of almost 29 years has just passed away. Jim was diabetic fromthe time he was 17... 36 years of this terrible illness takes a toll on your body. Thousands of dollars have been donated in Jim's name to JDRF in the past 4 weeks.
Enjoy the ride and my prayers are with you and your son that a cure is found!

Paul, good luck - your rear end will likely suffer the most abuse.I rode 100 miles per day for 3 consecutive days for Make-a-Wish 3 years ago, so you've got it easy! I had some surgery recently, and became diabetic for a few days. I know first hand that pricking fingers, etc is no fun. I'm thankful that my condition lasted less than a week, I feel so sorry for those who will be dealing with this for most of their lives. May the wind be at your back my friend!
