Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes in Death Valley, along with hundreds of other Riders across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $4.5 million.

This will be my 7th trip back to Death Valley and my 8th Ride to Cure Diabetes (Chad and I rode Killington in 2009).

Thanks to many loyal and generous donors - Team Chad and Dad (my son and I) have raised over $56,000 through the Ride to Cure Diabetes; in support of diabetes research that seeks a cure.

Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of peoplea large and growing percentage of them children.

There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!
