Hello! This year, I'll be taking part in JDRF's Ride to Cure Diabetes in Death Valley, along with hundreds of other Riders across the country, as we try to reach our goal of raising $4.5 million. This will be my 8th time doing this ride! im looking forward to coming back to death valley after doing the Killington Ride to Cure Diabetes last year! I am doing this ride to raise money to help fight diabetes and help people like me, my sister and many others that live as a type 1 diabetic!!!!!!!!!!

Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of peoplea large and growing percentage of them children.

There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!
